Patalsu Peak Trek Overview
Patalsu Peak is one of the most popular treks in the Manali Valley and is suitable even for beginners. The trek begins from the scenic Solang Valley and is rated moderate due to a steep ascent, but the effort is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views from the summit.

General Guidelines

Separate accommodations for males and females throughout the trek.

A medical certificate signed by an MBBS doctor is mandatory for participation.

All participants must have a basic level of fitness; at least two weeks of prior preparation is recommended.

Trekking shoes are compulsory.

Participants should refer to the “Things to Carry” list for personal clothing and trekking gear.

Smoking, alcohol, and drugs are strictly prohibited; violators will be handed over to authorities.

Instructions from the guide must be followed at all times.

Trek schedule: 3 nights / 4 days, available on request.
Day 1: Arrival & Solang Valley Exploration
Arrive at the Manali bus stand and take a short 14 km jeep ride to Solang Valley. After lunch, enjoy a gentle acclimatization walk to Anjani Mahadev (approx. 2 hours). The rest of the day is free to explore the beautiful Solang Valley. Overnight stay in tents at Solang village.
Day 2: Trek to Shagadugh
Begin your trek from Solang to Shagadugh, passing through dense pine and oak forests. As you ascend, the trail opens up to a vast meadow known as Shagadugh. Enjoy the serene surroundings and overnight stay in tents at Shagadugh.
Day 3: Summit Patalsu Peak (13,451 ft)
Start early from Shagadugh for the ascent to Patalsu Peak. The trail has a steeper climb towards the summit, rewarding trekkers with breath-taking views of Shitidhar, Friendship, and Manali peaks. After soaking in the panorama, descend back to Shagadugh camp for an overnight stay in tents.
Day 4: Return to Solang & Departure
After breakfast, trek down from Shagadugh to Solang Valley. From there, take a jeep back to Manali. Departure from Manali is scheduled by 5 PM.
