BEAS KUND TREK||2 Nights 3 Days

Beas Kund is a stunning high-altitude alpine lake located at approximately 11,000 ft in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. It is traditionally believed to be the spot where Sage Vyas meditated and bathed, adding a spiritual element to this scenic trek.

The trail to Beas Kund offers some of the most mesmerizing landscapes in the region. Trek through the lush meadows of Dhundi and Bakratach, enjoy panoramic views of majestic peaks such as Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Shitidhar, and Seven Sisters, and pass near the Beas Kund Glacier. Along the way, you might spot wild strawberries, mushrooms, and grazing herds of sheep and goats, making for a truly immersive Himalayan experience.

Day 1: Solang Valley → Dhundi | 8 km | 4 hours | 10,334 ft

Trekkers meet at Solang Valley by 10:00 AM to start the trek to Dhundi. The trail winds through the scenic Solang Valley, a popular spot for travelers, before reaching the campsite. Dhundi is nestled along the Beas River, with forested hills and boulder-strewn banks. From here, trekkers can enjoy distant views of Hanuman Tibba Peak.

Tips:

  • Buses from Manali bus stand to Solang depart at 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

  • If arriving on the same day, breakfast is available at Solang, and you can leave extra luggage there to collect after the trek.

  • Personal porters are available at ₹2,250/day for up to 9 kg; advance request required.


Day 2: Dhundi → Beas Kund → Bakratach → Dhundi | 12 km | 8–10 hours | 11,975 ft

Begin the trek toward Beas Kund, first passing through Bakratach. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows, spruce forests, and rocky terrain. Along the way, enjoy striking views of the river’s origin, glaciers, and snow-capped mountains in the distance.

Reach Beas Kund, a pristine alpine lake fed by glacial streams. Spend time exploring, capturing photographs, and taking in the natural beauty before returning to Dhundi campsite for the night.

Day 3: Dhundi → Solang Valley

Descend from Dhundi back to Solang Valley. From here, participants can take bus or shared taxi transport on their own. After completing the trek, optional adventure activities are available, including paragliding, cable car rides, rock climbing, and rappelling.

  • Accommodation in tents on twin/triple sharing basis (double sharing available for couples on request)

  • 6 vegetarian meals, from packed lunch on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 3 (nutritious and high-calorie meals provided)

  • Certified guide, cook, and camp helpers

  • Camping equipment: tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, and toilet tents

  • Anything not mentioned in inclusions will be charged separately

  • Personal expenses, such as phone calls or other personal items

  • Food and accommodation in towns

  • Transport costs from roadhead to roadhead (e.g., Manali to Solang and return)

  • Charges for porters, which must be paid directly

  • Costs due to force majeure, emergency evacuation, or unforeseen events
